BEYOND

A scattering of less easily defined work in film and other art forms: a cross-pollination that’s broadened my own film craft and horizons.

My explorations beyond commercial filmmaking have seen me rehearsing the ‘dead parrot sketch’ backstage with Monty Python, marketing and distributing South Korean auteurs, and curating fine art, music and dance performances.

ART

I grew up in the world of fine art, and find myself orbiting it still. The most fun and liberating projects have been under the artist Yuko Shiraishi, in the UK, Japan, and beyond: installations, performance, video, and curation. Working with her is constant reminder that there are no boundaries.
